In late 18^th century and early 19^th century, the Jing Merchants created “Piaohao”, the first Chinese private banks. Starting from small private agencies, this bank system grew year by year and the Jin Merchants were building slowly but surely a “Financial Empire” by their own. Pingyao is a cash flow simulation game. In this game, players will play as bankers who will open and run agencies, train professionals, give loans, complete remittances, increase fame as well as work with the government in order to let their bank system spread all over China. The player with the most victory points at the end of the game will become the most successful of all Jin Merchants and claim victory.
